Builder and co founder

Built with the ViddyScribe team. Now used by over 10,000 people.

Defining goals

Make everyday vision help feel instant.

Other tools make you wait for a person, pick a mode, or pay by the minute. We wanted something you open, ask, and get an answer in a couple of seconds.

Design Process

Understanding User Needs

We talked with blind and low vision users about what slows them down day to day. Reading mail, checking clothes, finding keys, and reading signs came up again and again.

Technical Implementation

We built a hold to ask camera flow on iOS with cloud AI when online and on device models when offline. Everything is labelled for VoiceOver from the start.

One flow for reading, looking around, and asking more

Point the camera, hold to ask, get a description, then keep talking. No mode picker. People also launch it from the Action Button, Lock Screen, or Siri shortcuts.

Over 10,000 users

Shipped on the App Store and used daily for quick questions about the world around them.
