skuzic: make art with music

skuzic

A sketchpad that makes live music from your drawings. Sketch a sun, scribble a storm, and hear the music change with your picture.

You draw. The music follows.

skuzic explores drawing as a way to play with music. Sketch a house and the sound gets warm and woody. Scribble a storm and it darkens. The music keeps playing, changing its mood and instruments around whatever you draw.

Each stroke has its own sound: the texture of paper under your pen, with soft piano notes that stay in key. When you lift the pen, the app reads the picture and adjusts the music. Erase the page and the music winds down to silence.

A sketchpad you can play

Start with a blank page or choose a vibe, from lo-fi and ambient to solo piano, bossa nova or a string quartet. The Mixer lets you turn individual sounds up or down, change the energy and brightness, or describe a sound in your own words. Reimagine creates a fresh arrangement from the drawing.

From sketch to sound

The web app reads drawings in the browser with SigLIP 2 and streams live music with Lyria RealTime. Gemini can reimagine the arrangement. A native iPad and iPhone app carries the same drawing interaction to touch and Apple Pencil, and a local Magenta RT2 bridge supports offline music generation on Apple Silicon Macs.

skuzic is an early, open-source experiment in making art with music. The web app is free to try without signing up, and the code is available under the MIT license.
